I’m James Ussery, President and CEO of Machus Corporation. I’ve been helping people get online for over 15 years. From the ground up, I began building PCs, and helping family and friends with repairs. When Microsoft Windows was created I jumped right into Desktop Publishing. In the 90’s, the internet was all the craze! I was creating graphics and falling asleep with HTML books at night. My senior year in high school (1997), I took over the Pineville High School Website. Aah the memories. 

I went on to graduate from DeVry institute of Technology. I don’t attribute much of my success to my education at DeVry, except for meeting my wife there. ;) But don’t get me wrong, I had some good courses and I loved the teachers. VB and C++ was entertaining and got me kicked off into the ASP and VBscript world. But I was forced to teach myself languages dealing with internet while DeVry decided that dying languages such as COBOL and PowerBuilder were more important. 

While in school, I freelanced a bit, I created JPU4Designs.com and then shortened it to JPU4.com. The letters are my initials of my full name, James Pete Ussery IV. The site is now my personal site for reading my blog and seeing pictures of my beautiful family. 

I love where technology is going these days. I’ve followed it for some time, but if I look back to what it used to be, it’s truly amazing how far we’ve come in just 2 Decades! From my Pocket PC phone, the tilt, I can check my email, update my twitter, write in my blog, and Skype my wife’s family in india, all connected on wifi at my favorite coffee shop. Don’t ya just love it? 

We are learning so much, we have to keep up with the internet in versions! By the way we’re now on Web 3.0! The way we learn, the speed we read, it’s all changing. We have to be able to change with it. The type of website you built 10 years ago or even 4 years ago has now changed! We are using the internet so much now we’re talking about “Keeping it clean” as if it were our roads and community. Funny, we discuss the net in terms like Super highway, and Online Community. It only makes sense to keep the junk out.
